The top window is the crown which is such an important symbol of the school.

This was a most unusual commission as the window includes drawings made by the children about what they think is most important about their school.

They have made wonderful illustrations of themselves at play, of the newly completed extension of the school and of the trees and animals and insects to be seen in the playground.  These were then as faithfully as possible translated into stained glass.

The six panelled window is made of glass which has been etched, painted, stained and enamelled to capture the lively colour and line work of the children's paintings.

Mary Fagan, the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire was helped by the children to unveil the window.  Headmistress Mrs A. Popovic (at left) and staff thanked all the children for their artistic contribution to their newly extended school building.
